Once again, if I could have gotten out of my neighborhood and onto the main streets I probably would have been fine. I suspect the same will be true tomorrow.
It is obvious the days are getting longer even as it seems to get colder. Having grown up in the land of cold and gray it is difficult for me to complain when there is sun.
Wednesday is a Court holiday in observance of Lincoln's Birthday. Next Monday is a Federal Holiday called Presidents Day. I've come to like February very much since beginning to work for the Court.
- 6F/-14C and mostly cloudy for the morning drivetime.
- 14F/-10C with a few clouds for the evening commute.
Lots of snow on the side roads. A good reason to wait for better conditions.
ReplyDeleteYes, the snow on the side streets was a pretty good reason to drive; and the conditions were perfect for black ice. Another really good reason.
DeleteI was just thinking that we see these bright clear skies as an indicator of Spring, but then when Spring does arrive the skies are typically cloudy and filled with storms!
ReplyDeleteWe'll find out. We've got a big warm up coming. There's talk of temperatures into the 60's by next week. As always, I'm waiting to see it to believe it :^)
DeleteIt is nice the main roads are clear, but as with most cities the side streets and alleys hold onto the snow the longest.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice you are getting the sunshine even if it is chilly.
Oh how true you are! My alley is the worse. Again the beauty of Billie is, if I have to, she is almost like walking a bicycle out to the street. Sometimes I take the side walk, but don't tell anybody.
