The End Is Near

Yes, I rode to work today.

And . . .

I had to take another photo of the old Cupples Warehouse No. 7

The sign still proclaims the lost hopes of a developer. The roof appears to be mostly gone as well.

And I noticed there is a crane moving into position. The end is near. Sad.

  1. So sad to see the old brick buildings go.

They tore down the original brick Corvallis hospital last year to build modern OSU student housing. At least they were careful to tear it apart brick by brick to salvage most of the building materials to repurpose.

    1. The wrecking crew is taking their time. Whatever can be salvaged will be. Here there is a big problem with brick thieves because old brick is in demand.

Sadly like many Cities St.Louis has become the hole in the middle of a metro area doughnut. We are losing old wonderful buildings all the time.
