And . . .
It was gray.
A light drizzle in the morning was pretty much the only difference between the two commutes. It was quite the change from yesterday.
Yesterday I took out on the Kymco and I rode up to Creve Coeur Lake Park. I was pleased the rowers were out. I suspected they would be.
I wasn't the only one with the idea. It was crazy crowded. For once the weather got it right. Nice and warm for the weekend and gray, colder, and uninviting for the work week.
- 33F/0.5C with a light drizzle for the ride to work.
- 35F/2C and gray for the home ride.
Nice to see the warmth, short sleeved shirts, people out enjoying the day. We have minus 20 on the way and I'm sure that's going to put jackets and hats on you down there!
ReplyDeleteYep, there's talk of a cold Mardi Gras weekend. Won't bother me, but others live for this season. Not as cold as you for sure.
DeleteI like it when the weather cooperates for the weekends. I don't mind much what it does on work days.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful. The two pick days of quite a while happened on Saturday and Sunday and then it went back to being much less nice. It appears this weekend isn't going to fair as well. Too bad for the revelers at Mardi Gras.
DeleteAn unfrozen lake littered with rowers ... wow! I just spent $10 at the car wash trying to blast the frozenness off the bottom of the SUV. Not a bare road or rippling wave in sight. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSomeone has said about Missouri: "Too far north to have mild winters and too far south to have mild summers." Obviously the person who said that didn't know what real winter could be. There was one year I only missed 3 days riding due to weather. That said, there are lots of folks who park the bikes for the winter. Oh well, there loss.
