A Pity

Yes, I rode to work today.

And . . .

While it rained mid-morning and was overcast all afternoon, the morning ride saw plenty of blue sky.

I had a meeting which kept me out late and meant a nice long ride after dark. Most of my riding in the dark comes during the winter months and is on the Symba. I was on the Kymco tonight. I'm always pleasantly surprised with the amount of light the headlights give off. It is ever much as bright as my Yaris. Quite a difference from the Symba.

I'll be late tomorrow night, too, but the meeting is a walk from the Condo ...  a pity.

  • 54F12C and mostly blue sky for the ride to work.
  • 63F/17C and dark by the time I got to ride home around 9pmCDT.

  1. I have 4 wheeled to work all week, hate to say this, but I've been on my bike too much lately and have felt lazy in the morning and wanted an easy commute. It has been threatening rain for the last few days.

    1. Dar, Keith, I have been in Dar's camp, commuting by car. After hours social engagements make riding quite a challenge. I could be done (empty the topcase and underseat storage, ride in suit pants, etc.) but when the evening business event winds down at 10:00 o'clock or so, the lazy bones in me just wants to slouch into the Civic without struggling with gear.

  2. A late night walk can be as good as a late night ride. Let's hope the weather is just perfect for it.

    1. You did really well. The evening was perfect for a walk home ... still I bummed a ride anyway. It has been a long day - good, but long.
