And . . .
I am tired. Between my Dad's visit and having to move Heather's Grandmother's stuff out of her apartment it was an exhausting weekend.
This is the three generations of the men in my family. Yes, unlike the general population we have gotten shorter over the generations. We enjoy looking up to our fathers.
The weather continues to be a mix of autumn and summer -- cool nights and warm afternoons. We did have fog this morning, but it stayed up making it appear overcast. By afternoon there was plenty of sunshine.
- 66F/19C and seemingly overcast for the ride to work.
- 81F/27C with some clouds for the ride home.
Three good looking guys. And there's your Dad. I want to say "I've heard so many good things about you!"
ReplyDeleteAnd there's nothing wrong with being shorter than the "average". We take up less space and consume less. We are the new Ecopeople. :^)
Really nice that you could have that family gathering. Thanks for sharing the photo.
Martha,
DeleteMy Dad is 6'2" and I'm 6'. Kip is 5'11". We're not quite ecopeople. Dad was on the tall side for his generation. My mother? She was an ecopeople and both her parents were short, but Heaven knows my Grandpa's standing among his peers was plenty large.
I learned early on it is the size of your heart and the worth of your word that matter.

You know you'e had a good couple of days off when you have to go back to work to relax.
ReplyDeleteYep. Sadly, work right now is rather stressful. That said, even with the tension, it was good to be with my co-workers.
DeleteAlways good when the generations can get together; a photo of the ages just that much better. Nice to see you and your family Keith.
DeleteThanks Coop.
DeleteI'm grateful to still have my dad. He's 85 and still driving all over Michigan. Last Friday morning he left St.Louis Michigan around 7am EDT and was here in St. Louis Mo by 4pm CDT and ready for dinner. Wonderful.
