And . . .
I stopped and talked to the woman walkers. They have been walking the same 4 mile route together for eleven years. Of course, they were completely unaware they had traded sides earlier in the week. There was no reason they were aware of. When I mentioned I passed them nearly everyday, they admitted they hadn't noticed me. Today I was on the Kymco. When I mentioned I normally rode a little black and white bike they the story changed. Yes, they had noticed me. The red bike threw them off.
It was another beautiful day here, but since there was a chance for afternoon showers it was just me and the Chieftain today. I did see the proud new owner and had a chance to ask him how he liked his new bike. He loves it. But, he should, he said, it was brand new. He's waiting until after a year of riding in all the different seasons before he makes a judgment on how he likes it. He honestly believes he won't know if he got a really good deal for seven years. By then if he still likes it and hasn't had a heap of trouble he'll know he got a good deal. Until then, who knows?

So cool you stopped to talk to the ladies. 11 years of walking the same route? Good for them. I bet they wave to you now.
ReplyDeleteThey waved this morning :^)
DeleteSo is it that "7 year itch" thing?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reprieve....
Deb,
DeleteMaybe it is. If it was, he certainly scratched it.
