And . . .
I got my butt around early enough to beat the sun.
But, I can't say I rode Downtown in the dark. There are street lights all along the route I take. This is probably the darkest street I ride on and truthfully the photo makes it looked darker than I remember it.
When I got to work there was no Chieftain rider again. I was beginning to worry about him until I went out at breaktime and there was the big red beast.
Apparently, I beat him to work this morning. Who knew?
Big news after work. Billie got new turn signals.
The OEM turn signals cracked all on there own. Pretty ugly, yes?
Here's the style I chose. Looks much better, yes?
And . . .
These aren't just turn signals, they are also running lights! I'm pleased.
- 55F/13C with a few clouds for the ride to work.
- 68F/20C and clear for the home ride.
Nice addition! Even if it helps a few people to see you better than it's an improvement.
ReplyDeleteRichard,
DeleteI agree totally. They look good, but hopefully they will help be me be seen.
I agree! Nice lights! Or are those earrings...
ReplyDeleteEarrings! You were the only one to notice :^)
DeleteI sort of miss riding at night. I liked being the only bike on the road most nights. Plus, riding at night always seems "otherworldly" to me.
ReplyDeleteThe Kymco's lights are nearly as good as my car's. It is a joy to ride it at night ... if not for the critters. I worry about the critters when I get outside the City.
DeleteNice new lights. It is good to see and be seen.
ReplyDeleteShiny! But although increasing safetly, believe it or not, the indicators lights full on (while not in action) is illegal in Germany... I had to change mine on the Sportster to get it road certified. ARGH.
ReplyDeleteActually, I can believe it. I almost didn't do the running lights because the turn signals didn't seem to "pop" like they did when the light were on all the time. But I decided I'd rather have the added visibility.
