I wasn't the only one who rode. That's Deputy M's bike.
When I came out after work the Kawasaki was gone, but Deputy D's Fly150 was there. Three riders in the parking area on January 26. I don't remember that happening before.
Hi-Vis. I wonder if someone could see me as far away as Wisconsin?
Sonja, I believe you are right, people just don't see us. Still, I find myself gravitating toward bolder colors. I figure what can it hurt. That said, I will continue to ride as if, "I were invisible and made of glass." I wish I could remember where I heard that first, but it is so right.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
They are Aerostich Triple Digit Rain Cover/gloves. http://www.aerostich.com/off-and-riding/gloves/rain-glove-covers/aerostich-triple-digit-rain-covers.html
Dom, I'm glad you spoke up. As I was commenting to Sonja about my belief we must ride as if we are invisible and made of glass, you were the person who came to mind where I first heard the invisible part. It may have been the post you linked to.
We must do everything we can do to be unhittable. Hi-Viz is a tool not a solution.
Visible from far away? You wish... you know people still don't see us...

Love them.
I wondered what that warm glow was in the south....knew it wasn't the sun....sigh.
ReplyDeleteI love those gloves. Sometimes it's hard to find things small enough for me, but I'll look for those. Your backpack is excellent, too!
Glad you could see the glow :)
DeleteIt took me a while to warm up to the gloves, but now I love them.
Good like "Tiny" hands.
Circleblue, hi-viz is good but don't depend on it. You are invisible.
ReplyDeleteGood commentary re Hi-Viz
