Breezy

Yes, I rode to work today.

The winds had lessen to what the National Weather Service called "Breezy". I thought I might get my first rideof the year in the "teens", but it stayed warmer than predicted. However, the nice "cool" breeze seemed to curtail the number of joggers I saw this morning. Of course, with it being the Holiday Season, perhaps it was simply they were running on another schedule.

You all be safe and unless life laughs at my plans I will be back next Wednesday.
  • 24F/-4C (windchill of 9F/-13C) fair and breezy for the ride to work.
  • 32F/0C, clear and relatively calm for the home ride.

    1. Feel free to complain all you want. The time off is shaping up to be busy. Still hoping to get in at least a little ride, but only time will tell.

      Be safe!

    2. Keith, I'm so envious of your desire and ability to commute as many days as you do.

I rode 4 bikes, one day each to work this year just to say I did. It's 75 miles one way and we leave in the dark except for maybe 2 months mid-summer. Once a huge fan of night riding, our local critters keep me off the rides unless I'm absolutely forced. The huge distance is a foolish choice we make; the wildlife on the road at 5AM we can't control.

      Ride safe!

    3. Coop,
My commute is just a little of ten miles one way. And, it is on city streets which makes for lots of stop signs, but very little danger of critters. It also means the main roads are cleared very quickly. Sadly, the side street I live on never sees a plow. So, when it does finally really snow the bikes will remain safely in the garage.

Ah, but until then: Scoot! Scoot!!
