I Did See A Snowflake

No, I didn't ride to work today.

Today I took the day off. The morning was spent visiting "Dr. Glum." I met Dr. Glum four years ago. I met him shortly after the dermatologist I had been referred to called me to give me the cheerful news, the biopsy on the mole came back positive for melanoma. Dr. Glum is a plastic surgeon. He removed the mole. It seems it was contained.

Today was the day of my now yearly visit to get checked over. He declared me void of anything remotely interesting mole wise and dismissed me for another year.

I did take Isabelle out and stretched her legs. It was another incredibly warm day. I saw folk walking around in shirts sleeves.

I did see a snowflake or I wouldn't have known it was December.

And, the lights I glimpsed while looking at the wishing well  near the end of my alley proclaimed it to be the Holly Jolly Season.

But, it certainly didn't feel like we were anywhere close to the winter solstice

Tomorrow, unless life laughs at my plans, I plan to ride to work.
  • Today there was abundant sunshine and a high temperature of 57F/14C

  1. Had one of those occurrences. Under my left eye on the lid. They dug it out and since then nada. So, worry not.
Didn't see a snowflake yesterday, but when I left work there was this ice-encased scooter waiting for me. Send some of that warmth up here.

    1. I'm ready for some cold and snow. If I could send you some of our warm I'd be happy to.

Sounds like you have a really cool scooter :)

  2. That's good news. I wish you many, many years of being "dismissed" by doctors.

And for now, I wish you and the Mississippi a whole lot of rain.

    1. Well, we got .39in of rain last night. I hope you can do better than that. Still, that's more than we got the night before, so who am I to complain.

Thanks for your wish. I, too, hope to be of "no interest" to Dr. Glum for years to come.

  3. Glad to here. I'm at that age where every little mole or blemish gets a look now...and I'm still a young man.

    1. I have very few moles so it doesn't take long for Dr. Glum to look me over. I'm very glad I had the mole that went wild checked out. We got it early and it was a swallow lesion.

I, too, am young no matter what my driver's license says :)
