Right On Time

Yes, I rode to work today.

And . . .

The sky was on fire.

It is the season for sunrises and sunsets. I've moved through the Sun-In-My-Eyes Season, or at least until the time changes back from Daylight Savings Time. My memory is I will have some more blinding days then.

Still it won't be long and it will be the Dark Season, the time I ride to and from work in the cold and dark.

When I came out after work it was obvious the Motorcycles spirits are giving me lots of opportunities to ride in my least favorite conditions. However tonight it wasn't long before the sky opened up and the streets became plenty wet.

But, by the time Isabelle and I got to the Post Office the clouds were breaking up.

The stopping off at the Post Office was the reason I was riding Isabelle today. I had a package to pick up, a package for Billie.

Tomorrow it is supposed to be clear. And, we are under are first frost advisory.

Miss Billie's Hippo hands showed up right on time.

  • 39F/4C with a few clouds and lots of orange sky for the ride to work.
  • 60F/9C and a nice rain storm to ride through on the way home.

  1. Wow- new hat, new mittens for Miss Billie!
Careful she doesn't lure a yarn bomber for a scarf!

    1. I know a couple of knitters who might be up to the challenge. One knitted a cozy for her father's outside light pole. It was one of those old gas lights that were common before the Carter administration. It is nice, but I hope Billie remains scarf-less. I wouldn't want to do the Isadora Duncan thing.

  2. Nice hippo hands. I bet it was nice to have warm mitts.

Love the sky picture - both the sun and the clouds. It is amazing what we see when we look up.

If only more people would look up from their phones when outdoors.

    1. I'm afraid paying attention when driving is too challenging form many. And, yes, it is too bad they don't. There is so much to see. I can't criticize too much. I paid good attention when I drove, but I didn't look, nor did I see.

  3. How sweet, you took Isabelle to pick up a package for Billie...
The Hippo hands look a bit awkward but I am sure they will do the trick.

    1. Sonja,
I thought it was sweet to have it work out that way. It would have been a challenge to bring them home on Billie, but with Isabelle it was easy.

I commented on the awkwardness in my post today. Short answer, "Not really awkward."

  4. My Miss Billie, what big ears you have!

How about those Cardinals, Keith? :=)

    Congrats!

    1. Diehard Tiger fan here, but wouldn't mind the Cards winning it in five. It would be great for the Downtown businesses and for the City's Revenue if we could get all three games here. If not for that a reverse of 2004 would've been sweet.
