Leaves

Yes, I rode to work today.

And . . .

The over night rain really brought down the leaves. People think it's rain that's dangerous. This time of year it's much more the leaves.

Beautiful and treacherous.

They look innocent, but if they are, how come they cluster at the stop signs?

  • 57F/14C and light rain for the ride in.
  • 45F/7C and overcast for the home ride.

  1. That's funny. I like the idea of gangs of leaves waiting for you- like mean itty bitty school kids.

    1. Martha,
I, too, had the idea of them waiting to ambush me.

  2. Yep, those leaves are what would get you. And the painted lines on the street too at crosswalks.

The leaves are so pretty, how deceiving....

    1. And, when it gets really cold those places folks have dumped out drinks and it has frozen. Lots of things one learns to watch out for. Keeps one on ones toes.

  3. Oh oh, that looks slippery! But as a seasoned rider you can handle this.

    1. If I have to ride over them I treat them with the same respect I give snow. And wet leaves on the ground are just as dangerous.
