Yes, I rode to work today.

And ...

I was the only one in the parking area.

Not only has Chieftain Rider not been riding, I've not seen him around the Courthouse. I'm beginning to get concerned.

I thought it funny that while I saw two riders out yesterday, today I saw no one else.

  • 14F/-10C and clear for the ride to work. Tis the season for sun in my eyes.
  • 39F/4C and a cloud here and there for the home ride.

  1. Groovy bell bottoms ;^)

You lost one of your team not too long ago. I can't help but think that still has an impact. That dedication to ride is a challenge and a bond.

    1. Once a hippie, always a hippie.

Chieftain Rider has been there a long time he has lots of vacation time. I do think all the events of the Autumn and my not riding may have made a difference to. When you get out of the groove a cold day isn't always the best day to find it.

I don't know how much he knew John. I hardly knew him, we just crossed paths frequently. It is amazing how attached we become rider to rider, isn't it?

  2. You had +4C today ... that's only a dream of what should be to us here. (We hit -27C. Hope your compatriot is well and only tired of riding in the cold.)

    1. As I mentioned above, I suspect all is well. Still, it would be good to know. I'm on the lookout for the Deputy who works with him. He'll know what's going on.

I'm grateful for the winters we have here. I grew up with Michigan winters. I miss the Michigan summers, but not the winters.
