Is It Spring?

Yes, I rode to work today.

A week ago snow. Now it feels like Spring.

The snow is nearly all gone.


The time change means leaving home in the dark.


I wasn't the only one who rode to work today. Looking at the Harley got me thinking Billie would look good all black. What do you think? Yes, all black, but no ape hangers!

  • 37F/3C with a few clouds for the ride to work.
  • 56F/13C and overcast for the home ride.

    Ape hangers? That's certainly picturesque and and apt.

    All black isn't really the safest color, is it?

      I've come to be convinced the most important visibility thing is the helmet. I don't think the color of a small bike matters that much. Need a hi-vis or white helmet to improve chances of being seen.

      The first time I heard the term "ape hanger" I had the same thought. Perfect.

      I'm sure someone has tried them. Yes, I'm very glad to have the weather improving. I'd like to think Spring has sprung, but I'm enough of a Northerner to be skeptical.
