And . . .
Thirst is everywhere . . .
And so are those who bring water.
Question of the day:
Was it too hot for most riders today? Or, was it just a case of it being Friday afternoon?
Have a safe weekend.
- 80F/27C with few clouds for the ride to work.
- 97F/36C with some clouds and a heat index of 103F/39C for the ride home.
Yeah...we have a large water tank, too. It's just nobody has set it up for us! Must be the WI work ethic that if it doesn't kill you, it doesn't kill you.
ReplyDeleteYep, I know that ethic. We had it on the other side of the Lake, too.
DeleteAny sign of your heat wave ending?
ReplyDeleteActually, this isn't unusual for July St. Louis. It has actually been rather moderate. It's the North and the East that are feeling rather warmer than they're accustomed.
DeleteKeith, the key is hydration, and just accepting the heat. It helps if you're wearing gear that won't get ruined or lose its usefulness (like a business suit, for instance). I resorted to t-shirts and a bathing suit, and that worked really well for me.
ReplyDeleteI do well in the heat . . . now. It took a couple of years to learn to drink water. I get in trouble when I'm running errands on the bike. I get fooled into thinking I haven't been on the bike that long because I'm in and out. Oh well, there is always something to cope with :^)
